PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN ON THE DAY OF COLOMBIA'S FIRST CONSECRATION 🇨🇴 TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

On October 12, 2008, an event of great spiritual significance took place at the Primatial Cathedral of Bogotá: the CONSECRATION OF COLOMBIA TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY and the RENEWAL OF THE CONSECRATION TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS.

This event, presided over by Cardinal Pedro Rubiano Sáenz, Archbishop of Bogotá and Primate of Colombia, was promoted by John Rick Miller, Founder of the Mission for the Love of God Worldwide, an organization dedicated to evangelization and the promotion of faith in contemporary society.

In this context, a photograph captured during the ceremony became an invaluable visual testimony of the deep devotion and unity of the faithful at that historic moment.

The image immortalizes the solemnity of the Act, where hundreds of people filled the Cathedral as never seen before, gathering in prayer to reaffirm their faith and commitment to Christian values.

The Primatial Cathedral, with its majestic architecture and its importance as the spiritual epicenter of the nation, served as the setting for this transcendental event.

The Consecration of Colombia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Renewal of the Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus represented a call to conversion and hope amid the challenges the country faced at that time, inspiring us today in these difficult moments we are experiencing.

The Mission for the Love of God Worldwide, through the initiative of John Rick Miller, sought to strengthen the Christian identity of the nation and promote a culture of peace and reconciliation based on faith.

The photograph taken that day is more than just an image; it is a symbol of faith, unity, and spiritual commitment.

The photograph immortalizes the moment when the Colombian people, guided by their Shepherds, entrusted themselves to Divine Protection, renewing their trust in God's love.

Today, this image remains a reminder of the importance of Prayer and Consecration as means to attain peace and God's blessing upon the nation.

At the bottom of the photograph, we read a note that John Rick Miller, in his own handwriting, wrote in English to Cardinal Monsignor Pedro Rubiano Sáenz.

Below, we share the translation into Spanish:

"Dear Cardinal Rubiano,

It is an honor for me to present this photograph of the Consecration of Colombia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the renewal of the Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on October 12, 2008.

Your acceptance to allow this event and your celebration of the Holy Mass will be remembered in the heart of your people for generations.

Thank you for your 'Fiat' to God and for your kind help and assistance in our mission in Colombia.

God bless you, Father!

Rick Miller"
