SPECIAL PRAYER INTENTION

Let us pray for the Church of Christ on earth, the Holy Catholic, Apostolic, and Roman Church. Let us pray for all the pastors of the Church that they may lead their flocks to the arms of the Father. Amen.

To prepare for praying the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary, first make an act of praise and reparation (as given by Our Lord):

May the Most Sacred Name, worthy of all adoration, incomprehensible and ineffable of God, be forever praised, blessed, adored, and glorified in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.

Let us place in our minds the Holy Face of Jesus.... Our Lord said: "By offering My Face to My Eternal Father, nothing will be rejected, and the conversion of many sinners will be obtained":

Eternal Father, I offer You the Adorable Face of Your Beloved Son, for the honor and glory of Your Name, for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of the dying, especially in this City (the name of your city or town) and in all the cities of this world. Amen.

PRAYER OF INVOCATION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful, enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray: Oh God, who taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us, by the same Spirit, to be always truly wise and ever rejoice in His holy comfort through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Recite the Creed, the Our Father, 3 Hail Marys, the Glory Be, and Oh My Good Jesus; continue with the following meditations for each mystery.
 

FIRST SORROWFUL MYSTERY THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE

After contemplating Our Most Holy Lord kneeling in the Garden of Gethsemane, and seeing His Holy Pores open after shedding His Precious Blood.

Let us pray: Oh, Most Holy Jesus, I invoke You through the intercession of Your Holy Wounds; I place in each of Your open Pores, during Your holy pain and agony, all those who are in the media, especially those who create and decide what we and our children see, hear, and read. I especially ask for those who actively promote pornography, perversion, immorality, lack of modesty, and hidden things in movies, the internet, magazines, and above all, television.

I pray through the intercession of Your Most Precious Blood, and I ask that with it, may they be sealed inside Your Holy Wounds, each one of these people. Lord Jesus, I bind in Your Holy Name, all evil that can corrupt these people, and I invoke Your Divine Justice and Your Divine Mercy for them. Amen.

At the end of each mystery, say an Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, the Glory Be, and Oh My Good Jesus.
 

SECOND SORROWFUL MYSTERY THE FLAGELLATION

After contemplating Our Most Holy Lord chained to the pillar of the flagellation, and seeing His Holy Flesh opened and torn.

Let us pray: Oh, Most Holy Jesus, I invoke You through the intercession of Your Holy Wounds; and I place inside each of the deepest and most painful wounds in Your Most Holy Back, which exposed Your Sacred Bone in one of them, all the world leaders, and those in government and politics, especially those who seek to curtail freedom.

I pray through the intercession of Your Most Precious Blood, and I ask that with it, may they be sealed inside Your Holy Wounds, each one of these people. Lord Jesus, I bind in Your Holy Name, all evil that can corrupt these people, and I invoke Your Divine Justice and Your Divine Mercy for them. Amen.
 

THIRD SORROWFUL MYSTERY THE CROWNING WITH THORNS

After contemplating Our Most Holy Lord drenched in His Most Sacred Blood, torn and bruised by the blows, hardly able to breathe; and seeing how He is scourged and a crown of mockery deeply pierces His Sacred Head.

Let us pray: Oh, Most Holy Jesus, I invoke You through the intercession of Your Holy Wounds; I place inside these ineffable and sharp mortal wounds, caused by those thorns like daggers, all those in the financial and commercial sphere; especially those who have sold or will sell their eternal souls, for greed or for their ambition of power.

I pray through the intercession of Your Most Precious Blood, and I ask that with it, may they be sealed inside Your Holy Wounds, each one of these people. Lord Jesus, I bind in Your Holy Name, all evil that can corrupt these people, and I invoke Your Divine Justice and Your Divine Mercy for them. Amen.
 

FOURTH SORROWFUL MYSTERY JESUS CARRIES THE CROSS

After contemplating Our Most Holy Lord fallen for the third time, His Holy Feet terribly deformed, His Holy Legs torn, His Beloved Knees crushed, His Holy Hands, Arms, and Elbows so bruised, beaten, and tormented by atrocious pains. Above all, beloved Jesus, we remember the wound on Your Sacred Shoulder, upon which You carried Your beloved Cross. That wound caused in Your Holy Flesh and Bones a greater anguish and pain than any other Holy Wound. Your Flesh so torn left Your Bones exposed.

Let us pray: Oh, Most Holy Jesus, I invoke You through the intercession of Your Holy Wounds; I place in the depths of those salvific torments, all those who have authority over others, from the simplest authority, to those who have in their hands the life and destiny of others.

I pray through the intercession of Your Most Precious Blood, and I ask that with it, may they be sealed inside Your Holy Wounds, each one of these people. Lord Jesus, I bind in Your Holy Name, all evil that can corrupt these people, and I invoke Your Divine Justice and Your Divine Mercy for them. Amen.
 

FIFTH SORROWFUL MYSTERY THE CRUCIFIXION

After contemplating Our Most Holy Lord nailed to the Cross, suffering a most painful and atrocious death; with His tormented mind focused on us, on our redemption and salvation, finally entrusting us to the care of His Mother.

Let us pray: Oh, Most Holy Jesus, I invoke You through the intercession of Your Holy Wounds; I place deep inside each of the Wounds You suffered in the Crucifixion, the ones on Your Beloved Hands, Your Holy Feet, and the revered Wound in Your Sacred Side, all the families, especially those within the City of (mention your city), whose parents are divorced or are about to do so. Likewise, all those who have committed the abominable sin of abortion or are contemplating it, and all those who have been victims of perversion and adultery. I also place within these Holy Wounds, bloody and martyrs, all the children of those people and families, to preserve them from the stain of such sins and to keep them under the protection of the Holy Family, free from the desires of the flesh and from all attachment to the things of this world.

I pray through the intercession of Your Most Precious Blood, and I ask that with it, may they be sealed inside Your Holy Wounds, each one of these people. Lord Jesus, I bind in Your Holy Name, all evil that can corrupt these people, and I invoke Your Divine Justice and Your Divine Mercy for them. Amen.
