OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE
In 1999, during Saint John Paul II's 5th pastoral visit to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Church proclaimed her as the Patroness of the Americas, Empress of Latin America, and Protector of Unborn Children. Furthermore, in his Apostolic Exhortation Ecclesia in America, Saint John Paul II established that December 12th should be celebrated throughout the continent as the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother and Evangelizer of America, stating that “an increasing awareness has grown among pastors and the faithful of the role of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of all America and Star of the first and the New Evangelization.”
By this decree, she is the Patroness of our homes, our families, our marriages, and our children. It is time to begin using this great gift that God the Father has given to the world, especially in these times.
ST. JOSEPH
The Church itself has named Saint Joseph as the Guardian of the Church, of faith, and of the family. There has perhaps never been a time when the presence of the Putative Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has been so necessary, to invoke His intercession within our marriages, our families, and our homes.
As impurity becomes the downfall of our societies, it is to the Chaste Heart of Saint Joseph that we turn, invoking Saint Joseph for the purity of our marriages and our children. In a world heading toward perversion and that has lost its sense of morality, it is the Putative Father of Christ whom God sends to us in these times.
When we consecrate ourselves to His Chaste Heart, we implore Saint Joseph to protect and welcome every family and every home that has recognized the need for this great gift to the world: Saint Joseph.
