LOUISIANA
John Rick Miller was invited to New Orleans, Louisiana, in August 2009 to speak to a small group of people. As a result of his visit, prayer cenacles of the Mission were established.
From April 2010 onward, Mr. Miller, on behalf of the Mission "For the Love of God Worldwide," made numerous visits to Louisiana, presenting at various parishes, addressing prayer cenacles, and speaking to students and groups of young seminarians.
In 2012, Louisiana was divided into seven sections to better serve its seven dioceses. A state coordinator was appointed to oversee operations, along with leaders for each diocese. Each leader then selected individuals to coordinate prayer cenacles, home enthronements, and consecrations. The Mission has reached six of the seven dioceses across the state: the Archdiocese of New Orleans, the Diocese of Baton Rouge, the Diocese of Lafayette, the Diocese of Lake Charles, the Diocese of Alexandria, and the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.
Mr. Miller continued visiting Louisiana until he was diagnosed with cancer. Enthronement kits have been distributed to parishes in several of the dioceses. Relic images of Our Lady of Guadalupe have been enthroned in the Diocese of Lake Charles at St. Henry Parish, in the Diocese of Baton Rouge at St. Agnes Parish, in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux at Christ the Redeemer Parish, and in the Diocese of Lafayette at St. Peter the Apostle Parish.
